What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

 

Contact forms
Registration Form: We use the information collected on this form to be able contact you with relevant information in relation to the academy services you registered for..
Login Page: The username and password you provide will enable you to access the private area of the academy.
The legal basis for processing your personal information is based on consent and legitimate interests.

 

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Avvio follows accepted industry standards to protect personal information you have provided. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Any information stored and processed will be within the EU.

 

Data Retention Periods
As per GDPR, Avvio will hold personal data for no longer than necessary as defined by our Data Retention Policy.
For newsletter signups, your data will be kept until you unsubscribe from those emails or contact dataprotection@avvio.com asking to be removed.

 

Disclosure of Data to Third Parties
Avvio does not sell or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide you services you requested, when we have your permission to do so.
Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for reporting and statistical purposes. E.g. Google Analytics.

 

Do we transfer data outside the EEA?
Our website hosting facilities are situated in Europe.
Occasionally for operational reasons it is necessary for us to send you data outside of the EEA. You have the right to be informed about any personal data which Avvio holds relating to you, including how we acquired such data, and the purposes for which it is being used. This right requires that you will be given a copy of your personal data which you may have supplied to us via our website.
To exercise this right, you must make your request in writing via post or email to the contact details specified below.
You should include adequate information to identify yourself and such other relevant information that will reasonably assist us in fulfilling your request. Your request will be dealt with within one month from the date on which your request was received.
You also have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected. If you discover that we hold inaccurate personal data about you, you have a right to instruct us to correct that information. Such an instruction must also be in writing and must contain evidence of the correct information.
